Light and Life

The school acceleration and remedial classrooms were created in the early 1990s, specifically for street children. Some graduates are today pastors, missionaries, psychologies, social workers, builders, mechanics, teachers, fathers and mothers. The majority had been the first in their families to finish high school which inspired some parents to finish primary school and go on and graduate high school themselves.

Currently we are facilitating sponsorship for some children to attend local Christian schools, by paying school fees and helping with school supplies and uniforms. Shaping the lives of families we have a dedicated team that disciple, present workshops, support new skills and provide groceries when needed.

The building of a house for a three-generation family that had a dirty floor has been a recent highlight.

Two families have started their own businesses one sells coffee and the other fruit. They have come a long way from a past heavily influenced by drugs and delinquency.

After high school we support students to enter into further education and help them break the cycle of poverty.
